PRIVACY POLICY
Good Liar, LLC ("Good Liar," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit goodliar.com or interact with us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and order details when you make a purchase, create an account, subscribe to emails or texts, or contact us.
Payment information. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site we and our partners automatically collect your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring site, and similar usage data through cookies, pixels, and comparable technologies.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information to:
Process and fulfill your orders and provide customer support.
Send promotions, product drops, and updates you've asked to receive.
Measure and improve site performance and the effectiveness of our advertising.
Detect fraud, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your information for money. We do share it in the following ways:
Service providers. Companies that run the business on our behalf, including our website, e-commerce, and email platform (Squarespace), our text messaging provider (Twilio), our payment processors, and shipping and fulfillment partners. They may only use the data to perform services for us.
Advertising and analytics partners. We use the Meta Pixel and a product catalog feed to measure our advertising and to show you and similar audiences relevant ads on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). This means information about your activity on our site — such as pages and products viewed and purchases — is shared with Meta. Under some U.S. state privacy laws, this type of advertising activity is considered "sharing" or a "sale" of personal information. See Section 6 for how to opt out.
Legal and safety. When required by law, in response to valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Good Liar, our customers, or others.
Mobile/SMS data. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are not shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. SMS opt-in data is not sold.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and pixels to keep the site working, remember your cart, understand site usage, and support advertising. You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some features may stop working. You can also limit interest-based advertising through your Meta ad preferences and, where supported, through a browser-based opt-out signal such as Global Privacy Control (GPC).
5. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you.
Correct or delete that information.
Receive a copy of it (portability).
Opt out of targeted advertising and any "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information.
Appeal a denial of any of these requests.
To exercise any of these rights, email drink@goodliar.com with your request. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally 45 days). We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
6. Opt Out of Targeted Advertising / "Do Not Sell or Share"
To opt out of the advertising-related sharing described in Section 3, you can:
Email drink@goodliar.com with the subject line "Opt Out."
Adjust your ad preferences directly within Facebook and Instagram.
Use a browser that sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, where we are able to honor it.
7. Text Messaging (SMS)
By submitting your phone number you authorize us to send promotional and informational text messages. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Mobile information is not shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.
8. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Age Restriction
Our products and marketing are intended for adults of legal drinking age. We do not direct the site to, or knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 21.
11. Third-Party Links
Our site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.
